A new theory is that Earth had a second Moon, which was destroyed following a collision.
Scientists believe that mountain formations on the Moon were formed in the collision of Earth’s natural satellite and a second moon, smaller, which was destroyed.
The moon visible from Earth is relatively flat with no high formations, while the opposite side of the moon is mountain formations.
One of the theories of scientists about these formations is that they were formed after a collision. Many experts believe that an object the size of Mars collided with Earth during solar system formation, and the remaining results were attracted by gravity and formed two months.
According to a new theory, it seems that two months later clashed at very low speed, which prevented the formation of craters.
Professor Francis Nimmo, one of the authors of the theory, said that the different topography of the Moon has always been a mystery to researchers.
“This mystery may be exceeded in importance only to the origin of the Moon. Probably giant collision that formed the Moon produced smaller bodies, one of which collided with the Moon again and created differences that we see today on the Moon” said the scientist.
Russian representative to NATO, Dmitry Rogozin, said that the Alliance is planning a military campaign in Syria, to remove President Bashar al-Assad aimed at preparing a long term attack on Iran.
